There is still time to audition for MVGT 2012. Online Video auditions will be open until 5pm Saturday January 14th. Also there are still time slots available for the live auditions this coming weekend. To reserve your time slot, register here.
For all of you who have already submitted your video audition online, we’re happy to report that to date we’ve been able to successfully download 100% of online video auditions. So you can kickback and look forward to the announcement of the Top 30 January 22nd.
For the remainder of you who have signed up for the live auditions this weekend, we have a few helpful reminders for you:
-If you registered but were unable to schedule an audition, please visit here to reserve your time slot.
-Be early and have all technical equipment (guitars, amps, props, etc.) ready to go when it’s your turn.
-If you are performing with a background track, you will need to deliver a finished copy by Thursday, January 12th to Lighthouse Christian School, 960 Eastland Drive. The song should be on a CD and must be labeled with your name and audition number. Please make sure the CD has ONLY your performance track and that it is cut down to the correct length for your five-minute slot. We cannot be responsible for editing or queuing your song up to a correct starting point.
-All lyrics should be screened and approved by MVGT staff before your audition. To keep this event family-friendly, profanity, suggestive lyrics and adult themes will not be permitted in any performances.
-Each contestant will have a total of either five or ten minutes to set up and perform (five minutes for small groups and individuals, ten minutes for bands and large groups requiring special setup or sound checks). Multiple takes as long as it does not go over your 5 minute time limit.
