Attention, Top 30 Contestants:

This week, we’ve been attempting to connect with all of our Top 30 winners via phone or email. If you’re on this list and you HAVEN’T heard from us yet, we may not have the correct information on file for you, so it’s very important that you get in touch with us as soon as possible. If we’re not able to make contact with you by 2:00pm on THIS Saturday, January 28, we’ll have to choose an alternate act to fill your spot.

The results are in! Our trio of independent judges (music educators Bill Sweet and Lori Henson, along with musician and previous MVGT winner Laura Taylor) have seen every audition and selected the top performances to advance to the next level of competition! Ladies and gentlemen, we’re pleased to announce, in no particular order, the Magic Valley’s Got Talent Top 30 Showcase!

Thanks everyone for auditioning. Three independent judges (including Laura Anne Taylor) will review all the videos next weekend and announce the Top 30 January 22nd here on the site.

Audition Information

There is still time to audition for MVGT 2012. Online Video auditions will be open until 5pm Saturday January 14th. Also there are still time slots available for the live auditions this coming weekend. To reserve your time slot, register here.

For all of you who have already submitted your video audition online, we’re happy to report that to date we’ve been able to successfully download 100% of online video auditions. So you can kickback and look forward to the announcement of the Top 30 January 22nd.

For the remainder of you who have signed up for the live auditions this weekend, we have a few helpful reminders for you:

-If you registered but were unable to schedule an audition, please visit here to reserve your time slot.

-Be early and have all technical equipment (guitars, amps, props, etc.) ready to go when it’s your turn.

-If you are performing with a background track, you will need to deliver a finished copy by Thursday, January 12th to Lighthouse Christian School, 960 Eastland Drive. The song should be on a CD and must be labeled with your name and audition number. Please make sure the CD has ONLY your performance track and that it is cut down to the correct length for your five-minute slot. We cannot be responsible for editing or queuing your song up to a correct starting point.

-All lyrics should be screened and approved by MVGT staff before your audition. To keep this event family-friendly, profanity, suggestive lyrics and adult themes will not be permitted in any performances.

-Each contestant will have a total of either five or ten minutes to set up and perform (five minutes for small groups and individuals, ten minutes for bands and large groups requiring special setup or sound checks). Multiple takes as long as it does not go over your 5 minute time limit.
